A Full Solar Disc Immersed in a Charming Light Featuring a Giant Tower of Plasma

Captured on 30th August, 2022, at UT 11h20 from Dark Sky® Alqueva region, Portugal, a high-resolution mosaic of the Sun is featuring a very active chromosphere with an interesting dynamic rich in details. The group of sunspots AR13089 is visible in the inverted Ha center image, while at the right solar limb an incredible prominence is showing a tower of plasma more than a dozen of times taller than our planet Earth.
PT: Captada a 30 de Agosto de 2022, às 11h20 UT a partir da região do Dark Sky® Alqueva, Portugal, um mosaico de alta resolução do Sol apresenta uma cromosfera rica em detalhes e com uma grande dinâmica. O grupo de manchas solares AR13089 é visível no centro superior da imagem Ha invertida, enquanto à direita deste, o limbo solar exibia uma enornme proeminência na forma de uma torre de plasma que persistiui durante muitas horas e se elevou a uma altura de mais de uma dezena de vezes o diâmetro da Terra.
