Incredible Solar Tornado in Motion Visible in the Chromosphere on April 24th 2025 – Photos and Time Lapse

I was photographing the Sun for two days in a row to documenting the evolution of a nice large prominence in motion. So on the second day, April 24th, I did one of the largest time lapses so far with 3h46 minutes, comprising 550.000 images in a short sequence of 18 seconds. I didn’t notice until I processed and animate the sequence at 30 fps, the large prominence was revealing what seems to be the formation of a quick and large Solar Tornado!! Insane, so take a look of the video until the end, please, and you will be surprised. Below is possible to watch the 4k video time lapse sequence compiling 534 shots processed, each one as result of a stack of the best 200 frames from each raw video. The images were captured from Dark Sky® Alqueva, Portugal, with the new Apollo 428M Max Pro camera from Player One. To watch with sound on.
PT: Fotografei o Sol durante dois dias seguidos para documentar a evolução de uma grande e incrível proeminência em movimento. No segundo dia, 24 de abril de 2025, fiz um dos maiores time-lapses até então, com 3h46 minutos, composto por 550.000 imagens numa curta sequência de 18 segundos. Não me apercebi até processar e animar a sequência a 30 fps que a grande proeminência estava a revelar o que parecia ser a formação de um rápido e grande Tornado Solar!! Foi realmente incrível, observe o vídeo até ao fim e ficará surpreendido. Abaixo é possível assistir à sequência de time-lapse num vídeo 4k compilando 534 fotos processadas, cada uma como resultado de um stack dos melhores 200 frames de cada vídeo SER, ou seja, em bruto. As imagens foram captadas a partir do Dark Sky® Alqueva, Portugal, com a nova câmara Apollo 428M Max Pro da Player One. Para assistir com o som ligado.
